While out walking in the woods on Singö detective inspective Solbritt Andersson makes a peculiar discovery. Amid some rough terrain, she finds a high-end runner’s shoe. How did it
end up there? Did someone drop it? Or has someone been forced to get away from the location without one of their shoes?

The enigmatic find leaves Solbritt restless and she’s beginning to suspect a connection to the disappearance of a young woman, Linda, a dedicated runner, three years prior. Solbritt
attempts to get the detective inspector, and friend, Lena Karlsson engaged in the matter but is met with little interest. So Solbritt’s on her own, investigating, which eventually leads her to a group home for troubled youth. But what is going on behind the group home’s barbed wire fence?
